Unicorn Media has pioneered a ad insertion in innovative cloud and seam video service called Once that addresses the limitations of traditional technology of online video ads. Once the service reduces or eliminates the need for own advertising technology platform and enables digital media companies to provide reliable live video advertising or on demand with personalized and targeted dynamic programming to the maximum range machines.

Unicorn Media is a company that has been awarded 14 US patents, which 7 also been issued internationally , and has 20 pending patent applications for technologies that are the basis of the product once and other related fields. These patents and inventions will be part of Brightcove portfolio of intellectual property after the closing of the transaction.
Brightcove will rename the Unicorn Media product line as Brightcove Once and continue to develop, operate and support service while integrating the technology with other Brightcove service. Unicorn Media headquarters in Tempe, Arizona will become the Brightcove South Centre R & D, joining similar centers in Boston, San Francisco and Seattle.
