Verizon Enterprise Solutions and Hitachi Data Systems have announced an agreement to develop a storage solution based on software-defined Hitachi Plate content Platform (HCP) and Hitachi content Platform Anywhere (Everywhere HCP) for recently launched cloud hosting infrastructure Verizon, Verizon cloud.
Verizon is focused on the development of a business ecosystem of technologies built to run on Verizon cloud, new storage offering based Infrastructure-as-a-service object (IaaS) and society. HCP HCP Anywhere and are the latest class technology company to be added to Verizon Cloud, providing tools that companies can use to move their businesses before the cloud-based services.
HCP HCP and Everywhere
HCP is a multipurpose storage objects distributed system designed to support large-scale repositories of unstructured data. The storage solution enables IT organizations and cloud hosting services providers store, protect, preserve and retrieve unstructured data with a single storage platform . It supports multiple service levels and could easily evolve with technology and scale changes.
With a wide range of data protection technologies and preservation of content, the system would be able to significantly reduce or eliminate the self-same tape backups or data backups on remote sites or mobile devices connected to the platform.
