zColo, colocation division of international bandwidth infrastructure provider Zayo Group, acquired CoreXchange, a colocation and managed hosting provider services in Dallas, Texas. The purchase adds a new facility at zColo colocation portfolio.
The new center data is located at 80 Harry Hines Blvd. In Dallas, Zayo already operates colocation facilities at 2323 Bryan Street Dallas Infomart. The transaction was financed with cash on hand, but other financial details are not disclosed.
The acquisition yields over 18,000 square feet of total space in the data center and provides national account data center facilities zColo 27 locations. As part of the acquisition, Zayo Group will also assume ownership of ColoUnlimited , the online presence of CoreXchange that facilitates online sales in real time and order of colocation services.
zColo will continue to operate ColoUnlimited in the Dallas market before joining the recently announced Internet portal Zayo, Tranzact, in the second quarter of 2014. Tranzact enable transactional control capabilities through national footprint zColo data center.
