Aiber Networks, a new Finnish-Israeli startup, has signed a agreement with the city of Tampere, Finland on the construction of a new high-security data center in an ancient cave military grade Härmälä in the neighborhood of the city of Tampere. The cave was once used by the former company owned by Finnish Valmet Aviation government since 1930. The site was designed according to military standards.
The new data center has an energy efficient design. The goal is to open the new data center somewhere between August and October this year. Aiber Networks customer focus will be international business cloud Finnish customers, Israeli and Russian time zones . The company received EUR 2 million for the initial investment while it plans to increase its investments in several million. Maximum investment in the cave Härmälä will be around 50 to 100 million.
