FatCloud, the developer of FatDB, has released a new free package for developers called FatDB Community Edition. In addition, FatCloud has partnered with CloudShare, a provider of virtual environments in the cloud, to provide an organized evaluation.

fatdb The new, free FatDB Community Edition is a fully functional version of NoSQL database .NET , which provides capabilities including Management Studio FatDB a multi-node cache and easy [integration Microsoft SQL Server . These features allow developers to create scale production applications from one to hundreds of servers.

The free edition FatDB Community offers the same capabilities as the Standard Edition , however, with the Community edition, ALS and support are provided by the community . In the Standard Edition, the SLA and support are provided by FatCloud. The Enterprise Edition includes all the capabilities of Standard Edition features plus multi-data center, advanced SQL Sync and the highest SLA support. Multi-Data Center and Advanced SQL Sync will be available for Enterprise Edition in Q2 2014.

The partnership with CloudShare, a provider virtual environments in the cloud, which is headquartered in San Mateo, CA, allows developers who do not have access to server hardware dedicated to a FatDB trial; to build their databases and applications in the cloud and get online in minutes. This hosted solution allows customers free access for 14 days to a test environment and assessment 4-node, preconfigured with FatDB, IIS, SQL Server and Visual Studio.
