COLO-D, large colocation service provider in the eastern Canada will invest $ 100 million, while firmly established in Montreal, Quebec. The company announced the commissioning of a second mega data center in Montreal, Quebec (Canada). This new 35-megawatt (MW) capacity colocation, located in a renovated building 150,000 square feet in Longueuil will be ready for opening in 2016.
With the commissioning of its second major colocation data center, COLO-D will be able to offer its national and international customers a total of more than 250,000 square feet of space and 55 MW of capacity once the new COLO-D2 data center is completed. Its center existing data COLO-D1 , is based in Drummondville, Québec, with 115,000 square feet of available space and a power capacity of 20 MW.

His founder, president and CEO, Patrick David is responsible for developing the overall vision, strategic planning and implementation of the ambitious business plan of the company. David has worked in the data center industry for over 10 years and was involved in some of the largest projects of data center in Canada. It was one of two senior executives to Canix (now Cologix). Before joining Canix, David worked with an international trade consultant of real estate, a subsidiary of Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec , and at a large law firm.
