VMware, the virtualization infrastructure provider and cloud, announced the continued expansion of VMware vCloud Air with general availability service Australia. This initial deployment VMware vCloud Air Australia Telstra is hosted on a connected data center.
Complementing vCloud Network Air VMware service providers, the new VMware location running provides customers with an Asia-Pacific Local Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) that can help to resolve compliance and local concerns data locality.
VMware vCloud Air would integrate seamlessly with existing IT infrastructures to make it easy to extend existing applications and integrate them with new applications of cloud native transformational. IT services can view, manage and run their cloud environment using the VMware vSphere platform they already know, and it is compatible with Powered hybrid cloud services provided by the VMware vCloud Air Network service providers.

VMware distributors, solution providers and OEM partners sell vCloud Air in the same way as any other VMware product.
The announcement follows the expansion of VMware vCloud Air in Europe with the general availability of the service in Frankfurt, Germany.
