EMC Accelerates Data Center Support for containers with RackHD Machine - driver

EMC Corporation announced RackHD pilot machine, an agnostic hardware solution for the deployment of open Docker solutions directly on bare metal servers . The RackHD Driver machine integration with Docker machine to manage the life cycle of physical servers for Docker engine and solutions for future Docker.

The new EMC project would allow users to easily adopt Docker containers bare metal servers and simplify deployment of the software infrastructure by combining the power of a key container platform labor supported with management and orchestration RackHD equipment. It is the latest project in a series of containers of solutions focused EMC team {code} support developer and open source communities.

emc cloud computing The demand for container and application platforms increases for enterprise environments. RackHD pilot machine allow business teams to easily enjoy the freedom and flexibility of the infrastructure and open source containers. Through close integration approaches "innovative" RackHD of pilot machine would be a good match for Docker in private cloud and physical data centers. Together they form the containers platforms a reality for physical data centers and help provide the next iteration of the software-defined data center.

RackHD pilot machine increases efficiency by using management RackHD equipment and orchestration capabilities to controls for compatible hardware through the open API RackHD. This new solution differs from other available drivers that are focused on the automation of virtual machines and proprietary systems. This would allow operators and developers to easily take advantage of the efficiency that containers provide infrastructure and applications. Other open source solutions announced by EMC} {code this year include REX-Ray, Polly, and libStorage UniK

The main features of RackHD pilot machine would be as follows :.

  • Activating management lifecycle from one physical server solutions for Docker
  • Completely agnostic server vendors, allowing a capacity of orchestration common across the data center
  • Activating additional integrations and operating systems with customizable workflows
  • It leverages Docker containers operational experience "simplified"
  • May also be used to supply other application platforms
  • This allows a metal private cloud deployment naked to "simplify" the container experience the platform through the integration with Rancher 1.0

"the metal provisioning engine and bare orchestration RackHD we will achieve significant time savings in the deployment of the infrastructure, by allowing a level greater automation, firmware management and workflow in our deployment process, "said Frans Van Rooyen, Infrastructure Architect, Adobe , an EMC customer."
