In many cases, where Quad or Hex Core Westmere processors were used, they were replaced by Sandy Bridge counterparts with an account higher base. For example, before the upgrade, the MCE-SIP-0 Web Application cluster included a file server with a pair of Westmere E5620 Quad Core processors, and a database server with two Westmere X5650 Hex Core processors.
-SIP MCE-0 clusters now contain two spells Core E5-2420 processors Sandy Bridge in the file server and Oct. 2 based processors E5-2450 Sandy Bridge in the database server. Similar improvements have been made through the cluster range of Magento eCommerce servers.
