TierPoint, a US provider of cloud, colocation, managed services and disaster recovery solutions, has expanded its United States data center footprint with the acquisition of data Centers CxP based in Jacksonville, Florida. The terms of the transaction are not disclosed. Data Centers CxP will immediately under the brand TierPoint.
The installation of 121,000 square feet is one of the largest colocation facilities in northern Florida and include approximately 65,000 square feet of data center space once fully built from. The building is designed to be tough and hardened ballistic hurricane. Its location, in hundreds of yards of fiber optic lines that serve Florida, it would be interesting for the resumption planning business disaster and continuity.

The acquisition is the eighth for TierPoint. the largest acquisition in the company, Xand, was completed in December 2014. with its previous acquisitions, TierPoint now owns and operates more than 365,000 square feet of data center space in 14 US markets .
