CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) and Cogent Communications (Nasdaq: CCOI) entered into a long-term, an interconnection agreement bilateral to their public IP networks. This agreement would allow the exchange of Internet traffic in a balanced, progressive and mutually economical to allow the growing use of the Internet.
The companies did not disclose financial details of the interconnection agreement. It is also not entirely clear how the interconnections, there will be between networks of Cogent and CenturyLink. Neither is it clear what the exact impact could be on customer experiences.

The company provides broadband, voice, video, data and managed services on a fiber network U.S. 250,000-mile road and international transport network 300,000-route-mile.
