EdgeConneX specializing in hosting solutions at the network edge, announced a partnership with the Internet exchange Massachusetts (mASS IX), a neutral data center, cloud and distributed peering Internet exchange in Boston, to build a new node IX remote mass in its edge data center Boston. The MASS IX node will be available in the fourth quarter of 2015.
EdgeConneX provide secure connectivity between MASS IX node within its edge Data Center in Boston and the core switches MASS IX at 1 Summer Street and 70 Innerbelt Road in downtown Boston.
This remote switch will allow customers to EdgeConneX the Boston area, including mobile operators, service providers, CDNs and businesses to have direct access to MASS IX and several of its highest density network sites. EdgeConneX joined an ecosystem that provides a single point of connectivity options, including Internet peering, IP Transit, Data Center Interconnect (DCI) and cloud solutions.
cloud providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS) Direct Connect and other Internet exchanges in national markets (eg, New York and Washington, DC trade) are also available via MASS IX.
