Zayo Group, a company network covers more than 77,000 route miles across the United States and Europe will be one of the first carriers to build the second and largest data center Houston data Foundry, a colocation center purpose built 350,000 square feet currently under construction in Greens Crossing neighborhood of North Houston. The hotel will open in the first quarter of 2015.
With 60 megawatts of electricity capacity, new data colocation facility Foundry will be a chilled water cooling system, a 185 mph wind nominal structure and provide a network carrier neutral access to more than 10 on-net fiber operators.
Zayo plans to build various dark fiber routes in the data center to provide dark fiber, wavelength, Ethernet and IP services to customers.
