DataBank, a colocation service provider and managed services with data center facilities in Dallas, Minneapolis and Kansas City, announced an expansion of their North Dallas data center. Numerous customer deployments in second 10,000 square foot pod DataBank has accelerated the construction schedule of the third installation module including an additional 10,000 square feet to meet demand.
The 60,000+ square feet roommate facility was commissioned in February 2013 and has one of the highest levels of multi-tenant delivery and supply infrastructure the data center characteristics of the region (20 MW set in true 2N both utility and on-site energy production).
"We have experienced rapid growth in Texas, especially in our North Dallas data center," said Tim Moore, CEO of DataBank . "With several recent large-scale deployments, we have positioned ourselves to meet with a schedule designed to meet the expansion needs."
In addition to its two colocation facilities Dallas, super-regional footprint DataBank also includes two other companies-Class data centers in Kansas City, and another in Minneapolis. A second facility is 88,000 square feet currently under development in the Minneapolis suburb south of Eagan.
