Google Cloud DNS - VMware vCloud Air and Google Cloud Platform are provided by a unique hybrid cloud service. Google Cloud DNS can provide organizations with access to a DNS service globally distributed low latency with high availability and scalability, and manageability. The service would provide reliable resilient, DNS, low latency service Google's worldwide network of DNS Anycast servers.
Google Cloud DNS would make it simpler for customers to host applications on VMware vCloud Air-facing web . It would also solve a significant challenge for organizations seeking to move their mail servers in the cloud. VMware vCloud Director. 8 - The new version of VMware vCloud Director enables network in the vCloud service providers Air VMware to create differentiated cloud hosting services that are aware and hybrid ideal for enterprise-class organizations. VMware vCloud Director enables service providers with tools to deliver "robust and secure" cloud self-service orchestration capabilities to their end customers.
The enhancements in this release include Support for VMware vSphere 6 and NSX 6.1 .4 , the addition of the virtual organization Data Center (vDC) models, VMware vSphere enhancements vApp and support for OAuth Identity Sources. These new additions would help service providers drive operational efficiency and provide new capabilities for customers
VMware vCloud Air Monitoring and Enhanced Insight Identity Access Management -. VMware provides new resources for more transparency and greater integration with VMware vCloud Air. VMware vCloud Air Monitoring Insight provides analysis in the operations of cloud hosting services through interactive actions, events and alarms user-defined logs for the flexibility and cost optimization. The service will provide information on infrastructure performance, application of health and the platform, allow the granularity, retention and monitoring of services, and helps to optimize cloud spending by allowing high utilization of cloud infrastructure.
Enhanced Identity Access Management enable VMware vCloud Air customers with a unique identity, single sign-on, unified authorization, governance and management roles. Users can now extend the site management capabilities with identity services to VMware vCloud Air and simplify how IT controls for user management using token authentication.
Michigan Project
VMware vSphere integrated Containers - VMware announced plans to build on existing support for VMware Photon OS on the platform VMware vCloud Air by adding support for VMware vSphere built on VMware vCloud Air Containers. With this support, VMware will enable IT teams to support any application, including applications containerized on a common infrastructure running on VMware vCloud Air. This support can accelerate the containers by enabling IT teams to initiatives to leverage their existing investments in VMware infrastructure, people, processes and management tools, while allowing developers to take advantage of a variety of solutions containing orchestration of ecosystem partners.
Unveiled at VMworld 2015 Europe, as a technology preview, Michigan project extends the capabilities of Advanced Networking services and hybrid cloud manager for all VMware vCloud Air services. Michigan project provides access to flexible Virtual Private Cloud OnDemand, with the possibility of turning thousands of virtual machines on a basic pay-as-you-go, with integrated secure connectivity, optimized virtual machine migration and extension network and politics, and advanced peering and transit.
