Red Hat launches Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 7 -

Open source solutions provider Red Hat has announced the general availability of Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 7. The new version would include a new deployment and management tool that simplifies installation, facilitates management tasks from day to day, and lays the foundation for orchestrated updates and upgrades online system for future releases.

based on the OpenStack Kilo version Community, the OpenStack platform, Red Hat Enterprise Linux is a solution of co-engineering that starts with the foundation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and integrates with OpenStack technology Red Hat to form a production-ready platform cloud . This combination addresses the critical dependencies on OpenStack has Linux and provide a highly scalable platform, fault tolerant for building private and public clouds.

red-hat-openstack Originally launched in 2013, this new version of Red Hat fifth iteration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Platform OpenStack , which has been deployed worldwide by customers in key vertical markets including public sector, financial, telecommunications and education.

Version 7 includes several new features to accelerate the adoption of OpenStack, including:

  • deployment and simplified management - the new director of Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform would provide a simplified and automated installation tool with cloud health monitoring of the entire system for proper deployment. In addition, it would facilitate the daily operational management and providing resources for cloud operators, including automated provisioning "ready state" bare metal resources to simplify deployment and reuse of material resources on a base the demand.
  • traditional workloads that require high availability on OpenStack - Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 7 introduces host node high availability computing with automated monitoring and failover services integrated Red Hat Enterprise Linux. This new feature monitors host nodes and includes the ability to automatically evacuate virtual machines from hosts, restart the workload on other available hosts
  • more security control - . Telco customers now have more granularity and control over network traffic ports in the virtual machine. This would allow customers to maintain a level of safety increased over most OpenStack cloud, while enabling the virtualized network function (VNF) traffic across each virtual machine, if necessary. Version 7 introduces this via the Modular Neutron layer 2 (ML2) and mechanisms (OVS) of the Open vSwitch Port security included in the release Kilo community
  • red-hat-hybrid-cloud-hosting network flexibility -. New Neutron network features provide greater flexibility and improved network redundancy. Network operators are served with multiple IPv6 enhancements, including the ability to support direct network routing between the tenants and the external gateway. In addition, version 7 would extend high availability for routers neutrons and improve surveillance and router declaration to help network operators maintain availability
  • Incremental Backup -. The new Red Hat Enterprise Linux platform OpenStack 7 release function block would be faster backups and storage capacity requirements with reduced support for snapshot backups. With additional support for the types of NFS and POSIX file system, this would significantly reduce the amount of storage and time required by only backing up incremental changes since the last full backup of the state.
