NaviSite, Inc., a Time Warner Cable company and business class cloud services provider managed to hosting, announced significant enhancements to its desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) solution designed to further reduce the complexity of deployment and management of virtual desktops.
new enhancements include the addition of Remote Desktop Services (RDS) and platform distribution applications remotely (ADP ). These improvements focus on providing reliable and secure access to applications and resources without a separate persistent desktop environment.
The remote control capabilities means that users can be placed on multiple cloud tenants hosting environments, allowing customers whose needs do not justify more dedicated environments dear to benefits of Desktop-as-a-service (DaaS) while also overcoming the restrictions of licensing that made these previously unavailable services. These additions allow the IT administrator can choose to expose the desktop and applications together or simply display applications.
