Verizon and Viptela join forces to offer a new software defined network solution using the software defined Viptela Platform WAN. Viptela also entered into an exclusive managed services agreement with Verizon in the US.
By joining forces, both companies are addressing the pent-up demand in the market for managed hybrid network solutions that allow companies to "secure, reliable and simply" access their applications in the cloud or on-site from any device or computer while managing the ever increasing volume of data.
The new Verizon service, powered by Viptela, enables companies to "mix and match" private connections and public IP such as MPLS, LTE wireless, broadband and Ethernet to meet the unique application requirements of an organization based on location, bandwidth and application needs of geographical availability services. The new managed service is offered in the US, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
