Verizon rebuilt its Enterprise Cloud Hosting, Launches Public Beta in Q4 -

With this service, Verizon says it fundamentally changes how public clouds are built. The new Verizon cloud has two main components: Verizon Cloud Compute and Verizon Cloud Storage. Verizon Cloud Compute is the IaaS platform. Verizon Cloud Storage is a storage service based objects.

Verizon Cloud Compute is built for speed and performance. Virtual servers (computers based on software and the underlying servers) can be created and deployed in seconds, and users to build and pay for what they need. Verizon Cloud Storage is an object-addressable, the shared platform of storage that allow a safe and cost-effective storage accessible from anywhere on the web.

Verizon Cloud Compute and Verizon Cloud Storage is installed in the data center in Culpeper, Va., Englewood, Colorado, Miami. Santa Clara, Calif.; and Amsterdam, London and Sao Paolo. Initially, customers will be served on the Culpeper data center with other centers worldwide should be added in mid-2014.
