IBM announced that the Croatian Avalon web hosting provider selected IBM System x servers for its hybrid cloud infrastructure to support growing customer demand and improve the cloud services it offers.

Faced with a growing demand for cloud services from existing customers and the need to add new customers and hosting workload, while adhering to the same quality of service, security and speed, the Croatian web hosting provider decided to consolidate its iT infrastructure to a hybrid cloud model using IBM System x3550 and x3650 servers .
Avalon selected IBM System x on offers from other providers after a thorough testing, focusing on the management functions of IBM advanced system. With the new IT infrastructure, Avalon would gain a powerful and flexible server platform that is said to reduce its IT footprint by 60 percent, and reduce the administrative processing time by 35 percent.
