EnterpriseDB, a global provider of enterprise class products and Postgres database compatibility solutions, announced the launch an aggressive growth initiative throughout Europe to expand the footprint of the customer EDB and sales channel.
initiative began with a series of additions of executives in France, Germany and the Netherlands and the opening of a new office in UK to house several new employees who will focus on professional services.
Together, new employees over the past two months EnterpriseDB are part of efforts to increase its visibility to companies in several markets which showed a slight increase in activity of new customers. They include sales and service managers who will work toward expanding the footprint of the customer EDB, and a number of support staff.
In the Netherlands, where the headquarters of EnterpriseDB is in The Hague, the new addition includes Johnny Bos , Sales Director for Europe. BOS is a veteran of the enterprise software market in Europe. He spent 18 years at Oracle held various business development and leadership roles in sales.
from the UK , new hires include Gary Massey , EnterpriseDB Services Director for EMEA. Massey was with Novell for 17 years, many spent in various management positions in the service sector. It also has a strong open source training, having successfully led the SUSE UK Business Professional Services over the past four years to help customers realize business benefits of adopting software Open Source.
Sascha Scholing joined EDB to lead the company's initiatives in Germany . Scholing brings 22 years of experience in the IT industry to his new position at EnterpriseDB. Before joining the company, he held a variety of management roles for the giants of the industry renowned as Siemens Nixdorf, Siebel, Oracle , Infor, Salesforce, Compuware and Tibco.
Matthew Reaper joins EnterpriseDB in France as Sales Director, Southern Europe. Reaper has extensive business development experience in emerging technology sectors and has worked with end users and vendors, thus gaining significant insight on the needs of both.
Channel Development

Worldwide, EnterpriseDB works with about 80 partners. The network includes channel partners, distributors and value added resellers (VARs) and systems integrators use Postgres Plus Advanced Server EDB database and tools to develop solutions. A key responsibility for new managers will recruit new channel partners across Europe.
