Defense.Net startup, a company designed to help web hosting providers, website e- trade and financial institutions mitigate the increasing scale and sophistication of modern distributed denial of service (DDoS), reached 2014 PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security standard) certification for its range of 2.0 mitigating DDoS services.
As web hosting infrastructure continue to be targeted by cyber attackers, it is critical that organizations have the measures against the most advanced in place. Achieving PCI DSS 2.0 compliance for 2014 would Defense.Net provide an additional layer of security for companies that manage cardholder data, from financial institutions to hosting providers for e-commerce companies web.
The certification was conducted by Security Metrics , a security company trade data and the multinational compliance, and a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) PCI.
