super port (ASX: MP1), a company based in Australia and worldwide supplier of elastic interconnection services, has signed an agreement to acquire the German exchange operator Internet PEERING GmbH which operates under the brand ECIX, based in Berlin, Germany. Megaport also announced the acquisition of OM-NIX, based in Sofia, Bulgaria.
ECIX provides services to over 180 customers across its 30 Points-of-Presence (PoP) in Germany . Together, the acquisitions of ECIX and OM-NIX represent 48 European sites.

These acquisitions coincided with megaport now officially launch its platform interconnection elastic in Europe, "added Maddox M .. ." as announced in the listing prospectus of December 2015 the Megaport Stretch is now available in nine sites across London, Dublin, Stockholm and Amsterdam an additional four sites due to come online in the coming weeks.
