HP (NYSE: HPQ) announced a definitive agreement to acquire the business of Stackato ActiveState Software, a "-ready business" Platform as a Service solution (PaaS) with Cloud Foundry to its base. ActiveState is a global provider of solutions for application development software and open source management. Financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed.
